Three Months

Here is a picture of our THREE month old!! How has it been three whole months since he was born?? Here are some things Sammy is doing or has done lately:

*He smiles like crazy. He is a happy boy and is not afraid to show it! He especially loves to smile at mommy and daddy!

*Will giggle occasionally...mainly at his daddy!
*Getting better at tummy time...we are waiting for him to roll over any time!
*He is grabbing at things and can hold his rattle. He brings it up to his mouth and will chew on it for a second.
*Loves to talk...when he's in a good mood, we can't keep him quiet!! Especially during church!
*Still sleeps through the night like a champ. We give him a bath at about 7:30, to bed at 8:30, and I usually wake him up at about 2:00 to eat. He then sleeps til I wake him up at 5:30.
*Loves to lay on his blanket and play and stare.
*Still loves bathtime
*We had our first picnic this month and Sammy loved it! He loves being outdoors.

*Still sucks his thumb like crazy.
*Enjoys music...will usually be content during worship at church but gets antsy during the sermon!!
*Sammy also went to his first football game this month: ACU played at Cowboys Stadium. He wasn't a fan of all the noise, though!

We love our boy so much and it's great to see him learning and growing!! Can't imagine life without our little man!

Lately

It has been a crazy couple of weeks!! I started back to school on the 22nd. The days leading up to it were HARD. I was so sad about leaving Samuel. But when the day actually came it was ok! Courtney texted me pictures throughout the day which made it much easier. Now that I have two weeks under my belt I'm feeling great. I actually think we'll make it!! I wake up at 5:00, get ready, and have about an hour with Samuel (getting him ready and feeding him) before I have to leave. I get to school at 7:00 every morning and leave as soon as I can after school. I'm able to pump enough milk during the day for Samuel to drink the next day. I have a good class this year which is a major blessing. I'm so thankful that everything has worked out so nicely. I am having to bring more work home which I normally never do, but since I'm pumping three times a day and not staying late, it's just something I have to do. But all in all everything has gone wonderfully and I couldn't be more happy.

Samuel has really been smiling, laughing, and "talking" a lot lately. He is so much fun!! We are planning on doing something outdoors on Monday since it's only supposed to be in the 80's!! Mom is coming in next weekend which will be fun.

Here are some recent pics of our little boy.
