3d ultrasound

We just had the best experience with our 3d ultrasound. We got it done at El Centro Nursing college which I would HIGHLY recommend doing. The cost was only $35 and we spent about 45 minutes in the regular ultrasound room and about 15 getting the 3d one. We learned so much and got to see so much of our little boy!! Below are some pictures and videos. Beware...there are lots of videos but I just couldn't resist posting them!

Here is a regular, 2d view of Sam's face. You can see his eyes and nose. I think his hands are in front of his mouth.

Here is a pic of his heart and heartbeat. It was beating at 129 bpm.

Here is an up close, 3d view of his face!! So cute!!

Here's another one of his face with his hand in front of it.

And here are some videos that Matthew took. He is such a great videographer!!  Don't worry...they aren't long at all. Some are in 3d and some in 2d.

In this video, he is moving and stretching a lot.

I love this video because he is making faces. It even looks like he is grinning at one point!

This is from the regular, 2d sonogram. It's so cute because you can see the lips and the nose.

This one is cool because he is moving around a ton. You can see his little hands in front of his face.

This one is cool because you can see the four chambers of the heart.

I love this one because he is stretching and making a face at the end.

This one is a little hard to grasp (at least for me) but he is in a ball with his legs at the bottom and face around the top.

Okay, that's it. He is estimated to be about 2 lbs 6 oz. right now.
Have a great week!!

I feel like we have been really busy lately. Matthew's mom and I went to an awesome consignment sale on Wednesday. I found the perfect changing table and it was only $35!!! I am so proud of it. Here it is:

I need to clean and maybe refinish it, but I think it was an awesome deal! And it matches our crib and dresser perfectly!

Thursday we went to a Mavs game with the Nichols and Friday we went over to the Hughes' for dinner. It has all been so fun but I'm exhausted. I can really tell that I can't do everything I used to.

This week we are going to a carseat safety class at BabiesRUs. Oh, and Monday we are having our 3D ultrasound!! We found a college around here that offers them for $35.00. That is much cheaper than at a professional place. I'm hoping that Sam cooperates and we get a good picture!

Here is my 28 week picture. BEWARE: this is Saturday morning which means no make up or shower. Yikes!!

Dang, I look big!

Have a great week!!

Spring Break

I have had a WONDERFUL Spring Break!! Although I am sad it's over, I feel like I got a lot of important things done.

Mom came into town on Sunday and we worked on packing up some things. She is a packing machine! We got the entire loft packed up in about half a day. I feel GREAT about that. Now I just need to work on packing up the downstairs. Mom went with me to my dr. appointment on Tuesday morning. He said everything looks great and that I'm (and Sam) am growing perfectly. He also talked to me about the signs of labor and what I would like for my delivery to be like. That made me really realize that this baby is coming pretty soon!! I mean, the due date is THREE months from today!!

After that we went to lunch at Olive Garden with Katina. That was fun since I hadn't seen her in a while. We did a little shopping and then mom left town. It was so nice of her to come in and help me!!

Another important thing we got done this week is that we finally nailed down a place to live. We decided that we are going to put off buying a house for now. We were feeling a little pressured by time and we don't want to settle for something that we don't love. We are hoping that in 6 months to a year we will be more ready and will have found something we love. So....we are upgrading to a townhome in our same apartment complex. I couldn't be more excited. It has two bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, and looks really nice. It has tons of closet space and a little backyard for Max! And this particular one has recently been fully upgraded so it has hardwood floors and new kitchen appliances!! We move May 20th and I CAN'T WAIT!!! I'm really excited to get the nursery set up, etc. I'm also looking for some cute, babyish bathroom decor for the 2nd bathroom. So much fun!!

My showers are getting closer and I'm really excited about that. The next three months are going to FLY by and be so much fun! I'm still feeling great and getting bigger by the day. Baby Sam has been kicking and squirming like crazy. I just love to feel and see him move!

Here are my pics from the last couple of weeks.

Fun Weekend

Mom came into town this weekend and we had so much fun together!! Friday after school we went to get much-needed pedicures. That is always SUCH a treat. We went out to eat that night and we also bought our crib!! It was on sale at Target so we decided to just go ahead and do it. This is basically it, except that the color is black cherry.

On Saturday morning I woke up to find this:

Haha if she spoils our dog this much, how much more will she spoil our baby boy?????

On Saturday we all went house-hunting. This was our first time to go with a realtor and look at houses. We didn't really find anything, but we got a better idea of what we want. Saturday evening mom and I went to a consignment sale event for Divine Consign. We found a BEAUTIFUL dresser that matches the crib!! I was so excited. Mom and I each got a high chair also. It was lots of fun. Sunday we went to church and lunch, and then mom headed home. We had such a great weekend and I can't wait for her to be back next weekend!!

Here are my 25 week pictures:

Baby Sam is growing by leaps and bounds and so am I. I went to the doctor last week and I'm still measuring perfectly. The doc says my weight is fine but I just can't believe how much I'm gaining. Seriously, I kinda have a panic attack every time I step on the scale. I just pray that I'll lose most of it quickly after he is born! I also took my glucose test and haven't heard anything back, which is good. I've been feeling a little weak lately and I'm having some growing pains in my belly. Other than that I feel well and Matthew and I are having a blast feeling and watching Sam move. He is an active little guy, that's for sure! I think we will have our hands full in a few months!!

That's all for now! 4 days til Spring Break!!
